Example 2: Translating a Triangle

Translate triangle \( \triangle ABC \) with vertices \( A(1, 2) \), \( B(3, 2) \), and \( C(2, 4) \) 5 units left and 3 units up. What are the new coordinates?

  • A'(-4, 5)
  • B'(-2, 5)

Example 3: Translating a Rectangle
